Joy in Difference
Timeless Women Find Joy in Difference
Do you ever feel different? What if you resented everyone because you looked different than they did? How would you deal with it? Would you resign yourself to a lifetime of hiding your feelings on the inside while smiling at the world on the outside?
Julie Genovese was born a dwarf with lots of painful health issues associated with her condition and built up resentment from the humiliation she suffered as a child. But she was also born a creative artist and found self-worth through painting, until one day, her shoulder pain prevented even that creative outlet. She turned to writing and through the release it provided found the beautiful, lovable person inside the body she hated.
Her writing developed into her memoir. Released in March 2010, Julie’s book, “Nothing Short of Joy,” tells her journey from a trapped victim to empowered director of her own life. Her personal story has many lessons to teach all of us. Listen to her share her lovable wit and personal wisdom with Dr. Nancy. Click here.
