Women Make the Best Salesmen
by Marion Luna Brem

Marion Brem`s career began following the news she was dying of cancer. She had two children, no real job, no insurance and no means of income. So in her job hunting, after 16 interviews she finally landed a job, as a last resort, selling cars.
Competing in a male dominated market, she forged her way to be the sales"man" of the month after two months and in her first year received a "man`s" Rolex watch for being the sales"man" of the year. She has since become INC magazine`s prestigious Entrepreneur of the Year and received Avon`s Women of Enterprise Award.
Everyone must sell and even if you feel you are not good at it, as a women you have an edge if you use some of your natural qualities as a female. Here`s a few of her pointers in Women Make the Best Salesmen.
- Selling is the art of helping. "Help, solve, needs" are the key words that represent the essence of selling.
- Be a mind reader. Look for and follow hints... a skill most women naturally do well and wish men did better.
- Each industry has its own dress code. Learn it and follow it.
- Listen to your heart and be emotionally engaged with your customers. Most sales end up coming from the heart...women know how to get there.
- Use good timing and respond when buyers reveal their buying signals.
- Namedropping does work and it builds credibility with buyers faster.
- Use your skills in "attracting" people and go where they are.
- "Just looking" means stay close by and "be ready to help me when I need it."
- Give the customer reasons to "need" you.
- Help the customer to find ways to "like" you.
- Be a guide, not a dictator.
- Follow customers’ clues that lead you to their hot buttons, while finding their "passion" style and learning to talk their language.
- Use your natural feminine ways to negotiate... by forging a relationship and avoiding the male instincts to "win a war."
- Break toughness with insightful kindness.
- Overcome fear of rejection with a conscious determination to be courageous no matter what. Use the same expressions of interest and intrigue with a customer as you do in normal conversation with a friend.
If men read this book, they will not only learn "women`s" secrets to great "sales crafting," but will learn how to gain the same edge in their selling skills. Women Make the Best Salesmen has very down-to-earth information that everyone can put to work.
