Examples of Women Who Have Connected4Good
Medical Patient Advocate
In 2004, Trisha Torrey was misdiagnosed with a rare lymphoma and urged to get chemotherapy or die before Christmas. After a few months of stunned inaction, she sought a third opinion and found she didn’t have cancer and that radiation, not chemotherapy was the recommended treatment.
Trisha turned this life-altering experience into helping patients get the treatment they need from the dysfunctional medical system.
She became “Every Patient’s Advocate,” founded DiagKNOWsis.com to create a vehicle for patient empowerment and advocacy. And she made it her life’s mission to focus health care on health not wealth.
