I have found that when I eat beef, I have more hot flashes. Must be due to the hormones that are given to the cattle.

I wonder if I switched to Organic Beef, if that would help.

It probably would help since they do not use hormones

I would agree with Sherry. In the business of producing and selling meat there is much competition. If you have bigger, more meaty cows you make more money. If you have a milk cow you need to produce more milk to make a profit and to compete with the bigger dairy operations. The competition and pressure of producing more pushes farmers to use hormones to make cows bigger, meatier, and make more milk. We see this especially in young girls who are developing earlier and earlier….and the belief is using hormones in meats and milk are affecting the growth and physical structure of children and does effect men, women as well as children. We know that cancer is being seen more often..and this may be due to the changes in the environment we live in. I suggest as consumers we ask hard questions about how foods are processed from the field or barn yard to our tables. We owe it to ourselves and our children to be in the know. Better to take our heads out of the sand and take a stand and get healthy foods….Dr Nancy
